Thirsty?

by Juniper

It was shaping up to be the worst day of Loang's life. Last night her lover had walked out on her because of the long hours of her demanding job. Their rare occasions of lovemaking had always been unsatisfying for Loang and still she had spent the night crying in bed, only to awaken late for work. She was horrified to discover she was out of clean panties, so, unable to bear wearing dirty ones, she rushed off to work without them.

By the time she finally passed through security at the Beijing Xenobiology Institute's central lab facility, she was almost an hour late. Teeming with sweat, she raced into the lab and Dr. Chiang, who berated her in front of the entire lab team while she stared at the floor, perspiration trickling down her thighs, fighting back a fresh round of tears. Without panties, she felt completely exposed and imagined everyone in the entire facility could tell she was naked beneath her skirt.

Worst of all, once Dr. Chiang was finished with her Loang entered the habitat and saw that the specimen was weaker than ever. She knew that it wouldn't survive another week.

The Institute's--and Earth's--first and only alien life form had, naturally, been the center of attention when it arrived. The initial euphoria of the discovery of extraterrestrial life was dashed by the realization that the planet on which it had been found was rapidly dying and that same life was almost completely extinguished. The specimen was the only organism recovered alive.

It was considered a plant, in that it only required sunlight, moisture and simple organic compounds to live. However, it also had animal characteristics; it could relocate itself at will and its various tendrils and stalks were prehensile and strong--when in good health. However, it had refused to absorb moisture in any form from the moment it was taken from its dying home. Now terribly dehydrated, it waited to die as well. All of the Institute's efforts to save it--even injecting moisture directly into its roots--had failed; finally, assorted tissue samples were taken and the lab's attention reluctantly turned from keeping the specimen alive to preparing to dissect and study its corpse once it expired.

Loang, more than any other member of the lab team, had grown fond of the specimen, and her heart broke every time she saw it. She knelt next to the specimen to conduct a routine examination. The specimen's long pods flexed weakly toward her, and Loang let one of the tendrils brush over her hand. She knew by now she had nothing to fear from it, especially in its current condition. She stroked the tendril in return, and kissed it gently.

Loang suddenly felt another tendril abruptly slide along her thigh and under her skirt. Startled, she sprang to her feet, her heart pounding. The tendril's intrusion was swift and sudden, unlike any movement the specimen had seemed capable of for weeks, and now all the specimen's podia were reaching in her direction with renewed vigor.

Loang stared at the specimen for several minutes, then looked around quickly to make sure no one was watching. Trembling, she moved closer and lifted her skirt slightly, watching the specimen's response. The podia once again brushed up her leg, exploring her. In an instant the podia concentrated on her naked public area, probing against her tightly-clamped thighs. Astonished and in disbelief, Loang tentatively relaxed her thighs and stifled a cry as she felt the tendrils slide between them and over her crotch. The probing was focused entirely on her vaginal slit. One of the pods found its way and slowly pressed itself into her vagina. Loang gasped as the pod entered her, her legs quivering, barely able to stand. In spite of her shock and fear, her vagina began to lubricate. This seemed to excite the specimen, as its root began to twist and wriggle deeper into her body. Loang suddenly felt like her vaginal flesh was turning to liquid. She was sure she could feel the specimen soaking her up like a sponge and the sensation was not unpleasant. Overcome, she closed her eyes and moaned softly.

Suddenly, Dr. Chiang was screaming at her, livid with rage. Mortified, Loang burst into tears and covered her face, trying to explain between sobs that she thought the specimen was taking moisture from her. Dr. Chiang stopped and looked at the specimen, and his demeanor softened immediately as he realized the specimen was vigorously working into Loang's vagina of its own accord.

Dr. Chiang gently and carefully extracted Loang from the specimen, then had them both thoroughly examined. No harm was found; in fact, the specimen was indeed much healthier and more active than when it first arrived at the Institute. Dr. Chiang retired to his office to ponder this unexpected turn of events for several hours as Loang waited outside. When he finally called Loang into his office, he asked her if she would be willing to continue for the sake of the specimen.

A few days later, Loang spent three hours in the habitat, alone with the specimen. She found the experience incredibly pleasurable and fulfilling, if exhausting. She coaxed the specimen into releasing her with some reluctance.

A year thereafter, the specimen was still flourishing, now spending daily sessions nursing on Loang's willing vagina. It was always gentle to her, having shown a remarkable ability to learn what she did and did not like, and to physically adapt accordingly, developing a structure of specialized tendrils with which to embrace and stimulate her. As Loang disrobed and lay her naked body back against the soft podia, the roots wrapped gently around her. Two thick, strong tendrils folded around and under each of her buttocks and slipped into her from behind while a third root slowly slid into her from the front. They pulsed and flexed deep inside her as the other tendrils teased her all over, arousing a flow of fluids that they greedily sucked up as Loang moaned and writhed in their tender grip.

It still wasn't understood exactly why the specimen responded to Loang alone. It was suggested that a unique combination of waste products of natural bacteria in Loang's genitals might be similar to an organic compound made by a protozoid present in water on the specimen's planet, which triggered an unique absorption process when the specimen's sensitive podia detected it. Loang found this concept embarrassing and revolting, preferring to think that she and the specimen were simply responding to each others needs--as unprofessional and scientifically unlikely as such an idea might be. The important thing was that both Loang and the specimen were healthy and happy. Loang's work and love life were finally compatible, and she enjoyed her job more than ever.
